The Journey
During Undergrad at TSU
Played Div. I baseball, served as President of NABA (National Association of Black Accountants), and completed three internships — including at BNSF Railway and Apple.

Graduated from Texas Southern University — an HBCU — with degrees in both Finance and Accounting, and took an entry-level position at BNSF Railway immediately after graduation.

Once he had the experience he needed, CJ left Corporate America to become a full-time entrepreneur.

Founded the Smart Guy brand including Smart Guy Taxes.
June 2020
Became a CPA and built a niche practice focused on cryptocurrency taxes, crypto tax reporting, blockchain accounting, and IRS compliance.

Toured the USA three years in a row visiting over 30 cities, educating communities on the evolution of money — bitcoin.
